- In The Directory Mdkinst\ you will find pif, and batch files
- for booting with Drakx, from harddrive from network and from cdrom.
-
- I have also included A config.sys and autoexec.bat, Demoing a multiconfig
- Boot menu.
-
- Executing Install.bat will backup your exsisting autoexec.bat and config.sys
- and copy the needed linux boot files to your c:\ (if your drive is not c: you
- will need to edit the install and uninstall batch files to indicate this)
-
- Executeing Uninstall.bat will restore your original autoexec.bat and config.sys
- (This is prone to user error never run the install.bat twice in a row, it
- _may_ destroy the originals) it will also make a backup of the current
- autoexec.bat and config.sys so you kind of get a second change but don't rely
- on it
- even better, copy them to a floppy before you even start playing with this.
-
- Your new boot menu will have entries to start the DrakX installer from cdrom,
- harddrive, network, and on systems with pcmcia. And as soon as i find an
- elegant way to add the newly installed system It will have this also.
